SOAS University of London Calls for Applications for the Allan and Nesta Ferguson 2022 Postgraduate Scholarships for African students.
SOAS University of London is the leading Higher Education institution in Europe specializing in the study of Asia, Africa, and the Near and Middle East.
Four Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarships have been established thanks to the generosity of the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust for African Students (African nationals and residents) who aspire to pursue a taught master’s degree at a university in Africa. The Ferguson scholarship for African students is given on the basis of academic achievement.
The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarship for African students is for the academic year 2022/23 and cannot be rolled over to the following year.
Benefits
Each Allan and Nesta Ferguson scholarship has a total value of £25,000 which will be put towards tuition fees.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Master’s scholarship for African students, applicants must:
- Be nationals of and resident in an African country
- Hold an undergraduate degree at the first class level
- Have applied to SOAS but are not required to have received an offer of admissions by the scholarship deadline.
- Applicants must meet the English language condition.
Selection Criteria
For the Allan and Nesta Ferguson Masters Scholarships for African students, the following apply
- Selection of candidates will be on the basis of academic merits
- The assessment of the application will be based on the information in the scholarship application.
- Selectors will be looking at the degree results and also at academic references, statement and other relevant information.
