The BMO group at Wageningen University studies innovation, strategic management, and entrepreneurship in supply chains and networks, focusing on the agri-food industry in particular but not exclusively so. In a globalizing world, where firms face major challenges related to, a.o., global warming, urbanization, and food security, they provide the knowledge and insights needed to internally organize and govern firms and also for firms to effectively collaborate in chains and networks.

In this challenging career trajectory:

  • Candidate will deliver high quality, internationally well-respected and societally impactful research and teaching.
  • Acquire, lead and implement innovative and creative (inter-) national research projects in the Business Management & Organisation group.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervise PhD students, BSc and MSc theses and you develop and teach courses.
  • As a teamplayer, he/she will contribute to the further development of the group, representing the group within Wageningen University and outside of it.

Salary

The Assistant Professor position on Strategic Innovation & Organization in Supply Chain Networks includes:

  • A gross monthly salary of between €3.821,- and €5.943
  • sabbatical leave, study leave, and paid parental leave;
  • Working hours that can be discussed and arranged so that they allow for the best possible work-life balance;
  • The option to accrue additional holiday hours by working more, up to 40 hours per week;
  • There is a strong focus on vitality and you can make use of the sports facilities available on campus for a small fee;
  • A fixed December bonus of 8.3%;

Job Requirements

  • A PhD, several years or experience and a research profile in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Organization Theory, Strategic Management, Institutional Theory, or related areas of expertise and disciplinary domains;
  • A strong research profile and potential;
  • Relevant and well-evaluated teaching experience;
  • Qualitative and quantitative empirical research skills;
  • Knowledge of or affinity with the domain of agrifood;
  • A team player.
