The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Section (E&I) at Amsterdam Business School (ABS) has an opening for a Lecturer position in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Section (E&I) at Amsterdam Business School (ABS) from the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is an internationally recognized department with a strong focus on high-quality academic teaching, research, and impact. E&I Section’s main strengths in teaching, research, and impact are entrepreneurship, innovation management, creative & cultural industries, and advanced computational methods, together with our ties to the (entrepreneurial and cultural)Amsterdam. They combine teaching and research excellence with deep engagement in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and beyond. Their Section houses over 25 scholars, from junior (tenure track) to leading senior researchers, as well as PhD candidates.

E&I offers courses and programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels, such as:

  • Bachelor Business Administration – Track Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Creativity.
  • Minor Entrepreneurship (University-wide Bachelor’s program).
  • Master Business Administration – Track Entrepreneurship & Management in the Creative Industries.
  • Master Business Administration – Track Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

Salary

  • For a lecturer, this is between € 3,345 to € 6,148 per month (+16.3% holiday and end-year payments) depending on the experience and the track record of the candidate. 
  • A temporary reduction in income tax for non-Dutch candidates.
  • reimbursement of commuting expenses;
  • pension accrual with ABP.

Job Requirements

They seek a positive highly dedicated researcher who is driven by curiosity and has/is:

  • They will prioritize candidates that hold a Ph.D. (completed or near completion, in Business Administration or Economics, with more than three years of teaching entrepreneurship and Innovation at universities: Dutch or abroad. 
  • However, they will consider candidates with more than five years of teaching experience in high-education programs in entrepreneurship and/or innovation, without a Ph.D.
  • Dutch language skills at the level required for teaching in Dutch are also necessary.
  • However, in certain instances, they may also consider applicants who are fluent in English but not (yet) in Dutch.
