Applications are currently ongoing for the fully-funded Taiwan International Higher Education Scholarship Program (TaiwanICDF’s) 2021

International education and training have always been one of the core operations among the TaiwanICDF’s many functions. Human resource development programs play a vital role in assisting partner countries to achieve sustainable development, and education is one of the crucial mechanisms in training workforces in developing countries. When the TaiwanICDF implements any cooperation project, it pays attention to education and training for program sustainability. The TaiwanICDF does this to ensure that its work will result in tangible long-term benefits and help as many people as possible.

The TaiwanICDF provides scholarships for higher education and has developed undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs in cooperation with renowned partner universities in Taiwan.

Benefits

The scholarship covers:

  • Return airfare,
  • Housing,
  • Tuition and credit fees,
  • Insurance,
  • Textbook costs, and
  • Monthly allowance.
Eligibility

The following Criteria for the Taiwan ICDF Scholarship must be met to be qualified

  • Applicants must be a citizen of a country on the List of Countries Eligible for Taiwan ICDF Scholarship and satisfy any specific criteria established by his or their country and/or the government of citizenship.
  • Applicants must neither be a national of the Republic of China (Taiwan) nor an overseas compatriot student.
  • He/she must satisfy the admission requirements of the partner university to which he/she has applied to study under a Taiwan ICDF scholarship.
  • Applicants must not hold any other ROC government-sponsored scholarship (such as the Taiwan Scholarship) in the same academic year in which the Taiwan ICDF scholarship would be due to commence.

Application Process

Applicants should submit the documents listed below to the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate General/ Representative Office in their country to apply for this scholarship.

  • A photocopy of the applicant’s passport or other document showing proof of nationality.
  • A photocopy of the applicant’s highest-level diploma and academic transcripts.
  • Two letters of reference.
  • A photocopy of the applicant’s English proficiency certificate.
  • Any other documents specifically requested by a ROC (Taiwan) Embassy/ Consulate General/ Representative Office.
