Applications are ongoing for a Tenure Track Assistant or Associate Professor position on Freshwater Ecology (AEW) at Wageningen University & Research.
Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Management group, which is part of the Department of Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University & Research, is keen to hire an Assistant (or Associate) Professor. The research is multidisciplinary (chemical, biological, mathematical) and ranges from laboratory research (detailed process studies) to model studies to field studies, covering a range of spatial and temporal scales. The group’s multidisciplinary expertise comes together in the development of integrated models for water quality and ecosystem management related to climate change and other anthropogenic pressures.
As Assistant (or Associate) Professor they are expected to establish an internationally leading research team on Aquatic Ecology, integrating modelling-, laboratory, and field-based methodological approaches. Their scientific work will help people understand the eminence of the ecosystem (in)stability, and support policymakers in making decisions to appropriately conserve biodiversity and ecosystem functions in the face of global change.
