Applications are currently welcome for the 2024 Robert and Christine Danizger Doctoral Scholarship at Heidelberg University in Germany.
The Robert and Christine Danizger 2024 Doctoral Scholarship is awarded to very good doctoral candidates from Africa (primarily from Ghana or another country in West and Central Africa) who are planning a doctorate at Heidelberg University in the fields of Geography (with a focus on Geoinformatics) or Political Science and who need help with funding their doctorate.
Duration: 03 years
Benefits
The amount of the scholarship for doctoral students is €1,200 per month.
Eligibility
Applicants who meet the following criteria can apply for the Robert and Christine Danziger Doctoral Scholarship 2024:
- Come from Africa (primarily from Ghana or another country in West and Central Africa).
- Are planning a doctorate at Heidelberg University in one of the following fields and are in the process of applying for the upcoming winter:
- Geography with a focus on Geoinformatics
- Political Science
- Are among the best in your field.
- Need help with funding your doctorate.
- Are planning to move to Germany to study for a PhD at Heidelberg University, on-site.

- Signed application form
- Current performance records
- Curriculum vitae in table form
- Letter of motivation concerning the topic of the doctorate
- Recommendation letter
- Proof of citizenship
- Evidence confirming the financial situation
