The Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands houses the Department of Operations. For opportunities as part-time and full-time lecturers in the field of operations management, the department is looking for applicants.
The Department has a renowned and successful research community. Their cutting-edge (inter)disciplinary research is regularly published in prestigious journals and is currently focused on the themes of supply chain integration, supply chain resilience, healthcare operations, production planning & control, asset management, and sustainability in supply chains, operations, transport, and energy supply.
They urge MSc and PhD students in related subjects who have just graduated to apply. Lesson planning, course organization, grading, mentoring, bachelor thesis supervision, and course improvement will be the key responsibilities of MSc-trained lecturers. The same holds for lecturers with a PhD degree, who additionally teach in master courses and supervise master students on their thesis projects.

Salary
- A gross monthly salary of € 2,960- € 5,439gross depending on qualifications and work experience,
- 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus and participation in a pension scheme for employees;
- favourable tax agreements may apply to non-Dutch applicants.
Job Requirements
To qualify for the Part-time and Full-time Lecturers Operations, applicants must;
- have a background in logistics, supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering or operations research
- hold at least an MSc degree and preferably a PhD degree
- be a hardworking, enthusiastic and experienced lecturer
- have organizational qualities and excellent communication skills
- be proficient in English
- be a team player.
